Biography

Bethann Parker (b. 1984, Lansdale, PA) received her Painting Certificate in 2020 and BFA in 2019 from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA and her Certificate of Fine Art from the Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia, PA in 2020. Parker has had solo exhibitions at Gross McCleaf Gallery, Philadelphia, PA (2024 and 2021); Cabin Contemporary, Pottsville, PA (2023); and The Pennsylvania Academy of Arts, Philadelphia, PA (2019). Her work has been included in group exhibitions at Fleisher/Ollman Gallery, Philadelphia, PA (2025); Lehigh University Art Gallery, Bethlehem, PA (2025); Ruffed Grouse Gallery, Narrowsburg, NY (2024); Soft Machine Gallery, Allentown, PA (2023); Palm Beach Modern and Contemporary, West Palm

Von Hess Memorial Travel Scholarship; The Freeman’s Exhibition Award; The Venture Fund; and Best of the Net. Her works have been featured in The New York Times; Art Forum; Hyperallergic; Terrain; and Voice of America. Parker just completed a painting residency in the French Pyrenees and lives and works in the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania.
