TWU adds a major public art installation to its ongoing 125th anniversary celebration

Texas Woman’s University has announced that the university will cap off its milestone anniversary — the 125th — with a singular work of art.
For the 2025-26 school year, TWU has proclaimed “Dream Big,” and both launched and exceeded its historic $125 million fundraising campaign.
The latest commission puts history, the present and the future into a sculpture that officials will unveil in October.
TWU commissioned a permanent outdoor installation: three large-scale sculptures by Portland, Maine-based artist Bianca Beck. The sculptures are inspired by the three pillars of the 125th celebration: “open doors,” “fuel innovation” and “cultivate grit.”
